WEB PRESENCE

Local Competition - Successful companies are constantly looking for any advantage they can find over their competitors. The internet has helped fuel the recent economic boom. Thousands of businesses come online every day, including your competition. Will you be ahead or behind them?

New Competition - If you think your present markets are safe - think again! Your client base is under attack, and not just from your traditional competitors. Your competition in no longer just the business down the street. It's the business in the next town, the next state, the next country. Use the Internet to be the competition rather than losing business to them.

Advertising and Publicity - Compared to other media, an Internet web site is relatively inexpensive to set up and maintain. Changes and additions are easily made. Think of what it would cost to run a full page, full color ad in the local print media for 365 days a year. On the internet your "ad" can be multiple pages full of sound, images and color and it's there around the clock, which leads to reason number...

Twenty-Four Hour Exposure - The Internet is a cost effective way to provide your customers with immediate access to your products and service information 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No other media is so immediate and with so much potential for providing customer information.

Exclusiveness - Once a visitor is on your site, you have their exclusive attention. You do not have to share your space with anyone else such as you do with newspapers, magazines, or television and radio ads.

Quantity - Unlike any other advertising media, you are not limited by space restrictions or bandwidth restrictions with a web site hosted with Sunset Creations. It can be as large or small as you like and comes in living color at no extra charge.

Branding - When you have an internet presence and promote your web site locally (in your other advertising, on your business cards, flyers, etc.) and encourage people to go to your site for "internet only" specials, you're branding your name. When these people have a need that is a product or service you offer, you'll be the first call they make and have an excellent opportunity to turn them into loyal customers.

Image - The time is coming soon, and is already here in many minds, that if you don't have an internet presence you are considered a second tier business. To be perceived as a progressive, cutting edge business you need a web presence. Remember; with image, perception is reality.

Feedback - To help build a better business intelligent owners rely on feedback from customers. The problem is, most customers don't bother with positive feedback because you're only providing the service or product they paid for. Some customers are even hesitant to offer negative feedback that could be valuable to you because they dislike confrontation. On the internet people are more inclined to offer feedback when you request it because they can do so from the privacy of their own home or business.

Test Marketing - Test marketing new products and services can be extremely expensive. Once you've established an internet presence and have developed active users, it is the lowest cost way to test market your new products and services.

Specialized Marketing - Marketing to highly specialized groups in the real world means investing big bucks in marketing campaigns. The internet has the largest groups of special interest users available anywhere, and marketing to them is much more cost effective than traditional campaigns.

Highly Desirable Market - The average internet user is a well educated individual with an above average income. These are qualified potential customers.

Easy Updates - A web site is not static. If needed, it can change daily to reflect daily specials, sales, changing hours or any other information. It's a service to your customers to allow them access to your information 24 hours a day. It's far easier and less expensive to update a web site than a brochure or flyer. If you point people to your web site for the information and best prices you'll have less need to update your brochures, flyers and advertisements and save money in the process.

Experience - The Internet is still relatively young. Now is the perfect time for businesses to "get their feet wet", enabling them to grow with the market and re-focus their business plans at the same time. No one really knows what it will look like five years from now, but it definitely offers opportunity and excitement. NOW is the time to consider gaining the experience that will be necessary to capitalize on the power of the Internet in the future, when you will need a web site to stay competitive.

User Initiated Medium - You won't be wasting time and money contacting people who aren't interested in your business because users initiate contact with you. The cost per contact is very low compared to the cost of other methods of gaining customers. It is potentially the most cost effective advertising and promotional medium you will find.

Added Value Service - You can easily add value to your products by providing information not readily available elsewhere. For example, if you owned a greenhouse business you could provide information on the proper care of cacti and other plants, watering guidelines, and soil mixes. This free information adds value to your site. When you add value, visitors easily make the transition to becoming customers when they have a need for your products and services.

Recruit Employees - You can recruit permanent or temporary employees from your web site and draw from a larger and well educated pool of talent. You can save money on classified ad expense and temporary employment agencies.

Expand Your Company - Expanding your physical space is cost prohibitive and impossible for many businesses. You can expand your business reach on the internet at a fraction of the cost of growing your physical business.

Level the Playing Field - No matter what size your business, you can level the playing field considerably with a well designed, professional web site. On the internet, no one can tell if your a small, one man business or have hundreds of employee's if your site has a high quality look and feel and offers value to the consumer.

Networking Opportunities - With an Internet presence you can network with other business professionals related to your field to create new business relationships. With this networking opportunity, you can find new sources and new ideas for your business.

Economy - As the saying goes, "time is money". A web site saves you time by providing customers with information that would normally be explained in a time consuming phone call.

Impact - The combination of color, immediacy and interactivity presents your company in a way that no other form of marketing can.

Expectations - Your customers expect it these days. The Internet is here to stay and the smart consumer is going online as they determine who to do business with. It is estimated by the US Bureau of Commerce that by the year 2010, over 40% of all consumer purchases will be conducted electronically.

The Smart Money - The smart money is betting on the future and power of the internet. It took radio 38 years to reach 50 million users, it took TV 13 years, but the Internet only took 4 years. Can you see the opportunity?

Dwindling Domains - Domain names are being gobbled up at an incredible rate. The longer you wait, the less chance you'll have of being able to get the domain name you want. A domain name is a valuable piece of property that you own, and once it's registered, that's it.
